What it can and cannot do
✓ It can
- Check the file and summarise, by area, what changes the plan most
- Explain results to the client in plain, unalarming language
- Propose menus, meal timings and activity guidance consistent with the profile, for you to validate
- Prepare follow-up materials and answer difficult questions without stepping outside the limits
✕ It cannot and must not
- Diagnose, or discuss diseases, intolerances or medicines
- Interpret variants that are not in the Panel Guide
- Replace the professional’s judgement or a doctor’s consultation
- Receive the client’s name or any identifying data
The starting point
A genetic file is a list of variants. What a decision-support system can do with it depends on two things: the quality of the knowledge it works with and the limits placed on it. DNAGPT works only with the NutriGPT-W Panel Guide, curated by CESGEN, and within the limits of a wellness study.
What it brings
Correct reading of each variant by number of copies, without inferring anything from the genotype letters. A summary by area, with what changes the plan most first. Client-friendly explanations. Proposals for menus, timings and activity consistent with the profile and with the preferences you specify. Follow-up materials. Prudent answers to difficult questions.
What is left out, by design
Diseases, risk, predisposition, intolerances, medicines and doses: none of these is part of the study or of the system’s knowledge. Variants not in the Guide: not interpreted even if present. Data identifying the client: not requested, not used. Decisions: yours.
Why a general-purpose assistant is not enough
An assistant without curated knowledge confidently reproduces what it has read, including mis-annotated genes and inverted effect directions. While validating our catalogue we found errors of that kind in commonly used sources.
What we always say
“Wellness guidance based on the NutriGPT study. It is not a diagnostic test and does not replace consultation with a health professional.”
